Colton's Run goes Virtual

We have made the painful decision to make Colton's Run a virtual event.  We take the health and safety of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers very seriously.  We hope you will still run in 2020 to support our cause.  #IStillRun2020

The virtual format allows you to run/walk anytime and any place between October 10, 2020 and October 24, 2020.  Each registrant will receive a long sleeve Colton's run t-shirt, an individually packaged Main Street Muffin, and some Colton's Run Swag.  We will not be giving out any medals or awards in 2020 to save money for our cause.

Packet Pickup:  The packet pickup will be Friday, October 16, 2020  from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Market Square.  The packet pickup area will be spaced out to allow ample room for social distancing. All race volunteers will be wearing a mask. We encourage participants to wear a mask when picking up their packet.  Please make every attempt to pick up your packet!

Let's work together to make this a fun event by sharing pictures of your run and time using the hashtags #coltonsrun and #IStillRun20.  Please invite your out of town friends and family to participate.  Maybe we can make 2020 the biggest run yet!

Thank you for your support and understanding!

Presenting Sponsor

The date is set for the 11th annual Colton's Main Street Run.  The Run is held in memory of Colton Sherrill, son of Trace and Dena Sherrill.  The 10-year old athlete and Durant Main Street volunteer passed away 10 years ago while playing basketball from an unknown heart defect.

The proceeds will be used to provide education in Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's), to provide emergency equipment, including but not limited to AEDs, for use by schools and communities, to fund higher education scholarships, and community projects. To date the proceeds have benefited our community as follows:

  • 117 AEDs purchased for area schools and the community and provided training and supplies for schools.
  • NEW:  Donating funds to local schools to purchase PPE.
  • NEW: Helped purchase Lucas 2 Chest Compression System with Bryan County EMS.
  • American Heart Association CPR and AED Training provided to area teachers
  • Endowed Colton Sherrill Memorial Scholarship Fund at Southeastern Oklahoma State University providing 41 scholarships to area students
  • Purchased bleachers for Colton's Field in partnership with the City of Durant and Durant Soccer Club
  • Created the Crooked Smile Trail in partnership with Southeastern Oklahoma State University for local cross-country teams and the public
  • 2 - ADA Wheelchair Swing Sets at Durant City Parks
  • Durant Main Street Revitalization Impact of over $22.5 Million

Please join us for the 2020 Colton's Run and keep the momentum going! #GiveRunRemember
